In fact from 1992, to 2005, there has been a 756% increase in breast augmentation procedures. This trend is not just isolated to the US, this trend is happening all over the developed world. Breast augmentation was the top surgical procedure performed in 2005, followed by liposuction, then rhinoplasty (nose reshaping).
